This blog is about a Women and her life as well as her views on guns. Her views are stated in a subtle way. Her segments are each a story of their own. The fact that she starts the story at the WIC center and ends it by describing women, infants and children as pawns in the games was really effective to get her message across. I agree with her that guns are dangerous to a point. We do have second ammendment rights though. I think the process of owning a gun should become harder, but it won't prevent the killings and shootings that occur daily. I'm not sure there is anything to prevent that. If someone has set their mind on murder, the isn't a way to stop it, even if we take guns away. There are ther weapons. I enjoyed this reading except when she described the play she was in in high school. There should never have been a play done by a high school about a school shooting. In my opinion that's asking for trouble by the students that might be on the edge. I feel awful when she describes her neighborhood that her children have to grow up in. It isn't a family enviroment and the blog never did explain why she lived where she did. I want to know the answer to this and what she meant when she was talking about her neighbor's rampage and said "the shouts bringing back memories that made us all long for quiet." I want to know if something happened to someone she knew or if she saw someone get shot.
